Stichting De Wijkmuzikant (The Community Musician Foundation) is a remarkable initiative by violin player and teacher Ilona Sie Dhian Ho who has founded in cooperation with the Royal Conservatoire The Hagues first community orchestra (Wijkorkest Morgenstond). The musicians aim to become part of the neighbourhoods life by performing on the street, in the local shopping mall and at local events, as well as by working with schoolchildren and accompanying amateurs.
